FEB. 28, 2025 — Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences is thrilled to announce that Associate Dean of Nursing Mykel Winter has been named a 2025 Forty Under 40 Honoree by Utah Business Magazine.
Along with the other Utah Business’ Forty Under 40 honorees, Winter was featured in the February 2025 issue of the magazine and honored at a luncheon in downtown Salt Lake City.
“We are elated but not surprised that Mykel received such high recognition from Utah Business magazine,” said Dr. Kelly McCullough, Dean of Nursing at Joyce University. “We are proud to work alongside her every day.”
As the recently promoted Associate Dean of Nursing at Joyce University, Mykel Winter has rapidly advanced through the ranks due to her dedication to advancing nursing education. Alongside her roles at Joyce, Mykel has also served as a Critical Care Nurse at University of Utah Health for more than eight years, bringing real-world experience to her educational efforts.
“I am honored to be recognized among such an inspiring group of professionals,” said Mykel Winter, Associate Dean of Nursing at Joyce University. “My passion has always been to elevate nursing education and empower the next generation of nurses. This award is a reflection of the incredible team at Joyce University and our shared commitment to shaping the future of healthcare.”
Under Mykel’s leadership, Joyce University developed a standardized curriculum spanning 170 healthcare facilities across multiple states, including Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Wisconsin, Idaho, and Oregon.
