BEND, OR - Sumner College is excited to announce the expansion of its Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program with the launch of a new campus in Bend, Oregon. This 32-month program is unique in Oregon and Washington, as it does not require students to complete prerequisite coursework before applying.
The BSN curriculum is designed to provide students with the critical skills and knowledge needed for a successful nursing career. The program emphasizes core nursing concepts while incorporating hands-on learning through skills labs, simulations, and clinical experiences. This accredited program equips students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in the nursing profession.
Unlike traditional nursing programs, Sumner College's BSN program offers an accelerated pathway to earning a degree in just 32 months. With a combination of online and in-person classes, students can minimize commuting, optimize their study time, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
The first cohort at the Bend campus will begin in February 2025.
"We are thrilled to expand our campus to Bend, Oregon, and bring this innovative BSN program to a new community," said Joanna Russell, President of Sumner College. "This expansion will address the growing need for skilled nursing professionals in the area, and we are confident our graduates will be fully prepared to enter the workforce."
