Aspiring nurses in Arizona can now get their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in just 3 years. Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences is broadening its current program offerings in Arizona to include a three-year BSN track, a degree that traditionally takes four years to complete.
In 2023, Joyce University opened its popular Accelerated BSN pathway to career-changers in Arizona and now is expanding its offerings to include a 3-year BSN, designed for students with no prior college experience. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing pathway can be completed in just 3 years and requires no prerequisites to enroll. For career-changers with an existing bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing field, Arizona residents can earn their BSN through the Accelerated BSN pathway in just 20 months.
“Our mission is to make high-quality nursing education accessible to students nationwide,” said Dr. John Smith-Coppes, President and CEO of Joyce University. “By introducing our three-year BSN pathway in Arizona, we are offering students an efficient, high-quality path to a rewarding nursing career.”
Joyce University’s BSN program is characterized by its hybrid learning format, blending online instruction with hands-on training. Students will benefit from immersive experiential learning opportunities at Joyce’s state-of-the-art Simulation Center in Draper, Utah, where they will occasionally travel for hands-on skill immersions.
"We’re committed to preparing students for successful nursing careers, and our NCLEX-RN pass rates show it. Year after year, we exceed the national average," said Dr. Kelly McCullough, Dean of Nursing at Joyce University. "With our blended format and no prerequisites required, students can start and complete their BSN program in as few as 3 years."
What students can expect from the BSN program:
- Hands-On Training: Students engage in cutting-edge clinical simulation and direct-care clinical rotations, gaining valuable real-world experience.
- Flexible Learning: The program combines online coursework with skill development, allowing students to balance their education with other commitments.
- High NCLEX-RN Pass Rates: Joyce University boasts NCLEX-RN pass rates of 94.81% for Q2 2024, surpassing the national average.
- No Prerequisites: Students can enroll without prior college credit prerequisites, making the program accessible to a wider range of aspiring nurses.
Enrollment for Arizona students is now open for both their three-year BSN and Accelerated BSN pathways, with the next cohort starting in the Spring Semester on January 6, 2025. Joyce University’s BSN program is also available in Colorado, Idaho, Missouri, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Wisconsin.
