August 27, 2024 – Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences is expanding its full suite of hybrid nursing programs to Oregon. Aspiring nurses in Oregon can prepare for licensure in as little as 20 months through Joyce’s pre-and-post licensure programs, with no prerequisites or prior experience required.
"Joyce University understands the critical need for skilled nurses nationwide," said Dr. John Smith-Coppes, President and CEO of Joyce University. "Our programs, which include associates, bachelor’s, and master's degrees, are tailored to meet the demands of the modern healthcare sector.”
In its ongoing effort to address the demand for well-trained registered nurses, Joyce University has expanded beyond its Draper, UT campus to offer programs in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Missouri, New Mexico, Nevada, Wisconsin, and now Oregon. The university’s hybrid model combines online learning with immersive in-person labs and simulations at its Draper campus. Clinicals are conducted within the student’s state of residence.
“At Joyce, we recognize that our students are all at different places in their lives–some are parents, others are working professionals, and some are young students looking for an efficient educational pathway,” said Dr. Kelly McCullough, Joyce University's Dean of Nursing. “Our accelerated, blended model is designed to meet the needs of students at every stage of life.”
Joyce University’s expansion brings a range of pre-licensure programs to Oregon, including the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN). Oregon nurses aiming to advance their careers can also enroll in two post-licensure options: the online RN to BSN program and the online MSN in Leadership program.
Enrollment for Oregon students is now open, with the next cohort starting in the Spring Semester on January 6, 2025.
