Yellowdig recently appointed Dr. Mark David Milliron as a member of its advisory board. Dr. Milliron is an award-winning higher education leader, author, and speaker, working all across the education space.
Dr. Milliron currently serves as Senior Vice President and Executive Dean of the Teachers College at Western Governors University (WGU). WGU’s Teachers College serves over 30,000 teachers, leaders, and other educators across the US, making it the largest college of education in the country. WGU is known for its instructional innovation, affordable access, competency-based education, and workforce connection.
Dr. Milliron will add advising Yellowdig to his broader work of catalyzing positive change in education through his service on the boards and advisory councils of leading-edge education organizations, including the Trellis Foundation; Bennett College; the Global Online Academy; Civitas Learning; the Mastery Transcript Consortium; the Hope Center for College, Community, & Justice; and ISKME/Open Education Resource Commons.
Dr. Milliron co-founded Civitas Learning in 2011 and was the Chief Learning Officer for 7 years.
In 2016 Chronicle of Higher Education named him as one of the “Top Technology Innovators” in higher education; and in 2018, EdTechDigest named him as one of the Top Influencers in the education technology field.
