Dive Insight:
Other interesting stats from the company: 16,000 courses are currently available, 1,000 are created each month, content is currently available in 10 languages, and the average instructor earns $7,000 on the platform.
Perhaps most interesting, though, is the stat that over 30% of users are taking courses on iPhone, iPad, and Android mobile devices. We spoke with now-CEO Dennis Yang at CES in January, when the company was set to launch its Android offering. Based on what we learned then about the number of Android users worldwide, and especially in the developing world, the company's continued growth isn't particularly surprising — or likely to slow anytime soon.
