Dive Insight:
The Corinthian saga continues with yet another regulator acting out of concern for the for-profit college’s students. According to the higher ed ministry, Everest was no longer financially responsible to operate a private career college. Meanwhile, in California, the state’s Student Aid Commission has given Heald College, a Corinthian subsidiary, until April to comply with requirements to provide audited financial statements showing stable finances. The commission reversed its earlier decision to cut off state scholarship payments to Heald College immediately.
